| Description: | Vintage 1990 was remarkable for Chardonnay. The growing season was moderately long and cool. The grapes matured with excellent balance, and beautifully developed flavors. This 1990 Napa Valley Chardonnay shows fresh melon and apple notes, with floral and citrus aromas. These characteristics carry into the mouth, and are accentuated by nice vanilla, honey, and cream elements. The Wine Spectator adds, "[the wine is] ripe and flavorful, with pear and spice flavors that have good depth." This medium-bodied wine is rich and generous, while at the same time, it remains well focused and balanced. It is a blend from five small Yountvill - Oak Knoll area vineyards.
