My Pretty Pinot 750ml - Stanley's Wet Goods
From Monterey County, California
Vintage: | 2019 |
---|---|
Description: | Sourced from the organic Pelio Vineyard, this Pinot Noir is the flagship red from the My Pretty Pinot team of Chris Miller of Seabold Cellars and local La wine distribution owner Jared Heber.  The My Pretty name came about after the two were joking about 'unicorn wines', and Jared " wanted a name that wasn't too self-serious even though the wine is. It is also an inside joke on bi visibility/erasure and about whether bi men like me really are unicorns.â Hence the Unicorn on the Pinot Noir! The grapes are pressed with 25% stem inclusion, fermented with native yeast, and aged for 11 months in a combination of neutral barrel and 10% new oak. Stylistically Burgundian with a unique costal Monterey Bay influence, showcasing red cherries, earthy mulchyness, savory saline, and a lean 13.3% abv with lovely acidity giving it lift and freshness.  Only 200 cases made. |
