| Description: | Blair Guthrie just barely missed the California Bourboulenc medal-stand, as only the fourth person in the state to make a 100% variety based white. The grape is commonly found in the south of France, and is mostly used for blending, but in the hands of a genius, it makes a remarkable wine. Crisp white flowers, white peach, white nectarine, white sage and pear. Bourboulenc carries the typical weight of white Rhône grapes, but the acidity is a drink of fresh squeezed lemonade. |
