| Description: | Made in a primeur style for immediate consumption, Pipeño is derogatory slang for "peasant wine" and is usually made with the País grape. I must say that the Chilean peasants seem to drink better than some wealthy Americans. Drink this by the gallon, as the light Gamay-like qualities are juicy, bright, floral, and soft, yet they maintain a touch of rusticity from the 150-200 year old País vines. Light acid and subtle tannins make this a perfect Bbq wine. |
