| Description: | Encouragingly, the 2009 vintage is still a light lemon yellow in colour, with no apparent signs of age. Still, it is possible to tell that the 2009 has started to open up now, albeit slowly. Aromatically the wine is elegant and complex. There is a profusion of aromas, but none dominates. The initial attack focuses on bright, high-toned tropical notes such as passionfruit and pomelo. With a bit of time, there are notes of quince, beeswax, and just a hint of honey. The creamy, buttery notes are there but do not dominate the wine. The striking thing about this wine is its youthful character. Drinking Window: 2021 - 2035 |
