Chateau Fortia Chateauneuf Du Pape Blanc

Chateau Fortia Chateauneuf Du Pape Blanc

Roussanne

Vintage: 2017
Description: "Diamond-cut accents of light beam through this release, showing impressive aromas of wildflower, heather, apricot, dried peach, orange pith, white jasmine flower and smoky minerality, mirrored on the palate with undulating, expansive orchard fruit, sun-dried fig, and a stony, deftly balanced finish. Drink now through 2030." -Stephen C. Fahy, Dws. "Located at the gateway to the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Vaucluse, Château Fortia is one of the oldest properties in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This estate passes into the hands of various owners, Fortia, Gondi and Seguin, before being taken over by Hippolyte Bernard le Saint in 1890. With the involvement of his son-in-law, Pierre le Roy de Boiseaumarié, Châteauneuf-du-Pape becomes officially a registered designation of origin in 1936. Created between 1975 and 1976, the company Château Fortia is since 2004, managed by Pierre Pastre. It is a property of 31.50 hectares of vineyards whose southern orientation, combined with the characteristics of the soil, gives a certain typicity to Fortia wines. Throughout the production stages, we ensure that traditions are respected. We produce only Chateauneuf-du-Pape red and white. Three assemblages of red wine are offered: Tradition, Cuvée du Baron and Réserve." -Winery
