| Description: | Spring Mountain Estate Red. 76% Zinfandel, 17% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane. From vines up to 100 years old. Mescolanza is Spanish for "medley" (of grapes). This 2007 vintage (a "library wine" from School House) still has its fresh, ripe, jammy fruit flavors and typical peppery spice. Time has revealed an umami quality of dry aged beef and dry thyme/tarragon/rosemary. Gentle tannins, medium/low acidity. Nice to drink a wine with a little age on it. |
