Don Ramon Barrica

Don Ramon Barrica

Grenache,Tempranillo

Description: Ruby dark garnet in color, with an effusive creamy cherry cough drop and aquarium nose; flavors turn more toward deeper, darker black cherry and raspberry on a medium to medium full bodied frame, with moderate tannins and balanced acidity. A subtle earthiness underneath the bright fruit adds some depth and complexity Producer Our 3,700 hectares (9,200 acres) of vineyards give us a symphony of colour. The red, stony soil provides the best environment for our principal grape varieties: Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mazuela, Chardonnay, Macabeo and Muscat. These vigorous and robust vineyards, some more than 100 years old, are firmly established on unparalleled land that, combined with the harsh climate, give our grapes their distinctive quality and personality. It's not just the land and climate that make our vineyards great. The passion of our team at Bodegas Aragonesas is a major factor in their quality. For centuries, we have been carefully growing our vines and maintaining a meticulous vineyard tradition. Our expert winemaking team are masters in the production of our famed Garnacha. Along with the rest of our staff, they work to produce internationally acclaimed wines of the highest quality. Although Aragonesas Bodegas was founded in 1984, the cultivation of the vines - particularly Garnacha - stems from 1145 and the Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Veruela, located a short distance from Fuendejalon and Magallon. Our ancestors inherited this valuable and historic legacy and we, the following generations, have enriched it to reach its highest potential. Vida forjada entre garnachasWe express our love of Garnacha both on the land and in the winery. We know that it is an essential part of our heritage, and we do our best to continuously improve our methods of cultivation and winemaking. Our brands Fagus, Coto de Hayas, Garnacha Centenaria, Galiano, Oxia, Don Ramon and Aragonia are the flagships of our winery. They enjoy an international reputation that has made them worthy of many awards and distinctions. Our expansive vineyards, rich varieties and winemakers' skills enable us to produce brands with their own distinct characteristics and personality. From organic fruity wines to complex single-vineyard wines, from young unaged wines to aged crianza and reserva, from white, red and rose blends to single varietals, we produce a broad range of wines to satisfy the tastes of all markets.
