| Description: | Concentrated, deep and long, with a velvety texture, ripe mulberry fruit and a pleasantly persistent finish. Jacques Prieur farms nearly a hectare in Chambertin, including a half-hectare of ancient vines. In 2018 the harvest began on September 5th. Vinification was fairly traditional and the grapes were completely destemmed, spending five days macerating before fermentation on native yeasts. The extraction was done by twice-daily punching down and a bit of maceration after fermentation. |
