| Description: | From one of our absolute favorite domaines in Burgundy, the wines at Comte Armand are made from organic/biodynamic vines, 100% de-stemmed with whole-grape fermentation, 20-30% new oak; the reds are unfined, unfiltered and the whites are fined and lightly filtered. This is from the village of Auxey-Duresses, an appellation Comte Armand is known for, in addition to its most illustrious Pommard wines. Winemaker Paul Zinetti is very talented and has respected the deeply rooted, complex vines at this estate. Auxey produces a r ich wine with small berries, the wines can generally be drunk quite young, and yet can age easily for up to 10 years. |
