Description: | The wines of Anne Pichon were "discovered" by our o wn Pietro at a local restaurant, where her Grenache rouge was the only French wine on an all-Spanish list. It turns out that he uncovered a hidden gem, as Pichon's small production, farm to bottle wines are both rare and worthy of seeking out. Everything we've tasted from her thus-far has a little touch of magic to it. This ros, from the outskirts of the Rhone on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, is a uniquely expressive blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Carignan. As pale in the glass as it's Provencal neighbors to the south, Gris Montagne has just a touch more of a red cherry "pop" on the palate, a wisp of purple flower aromatics and delicate dab of river stone minerality. In other words, this is a wine that clearly is made by a steady hand with a delicate touch. Taste the magic and enjoy while supplies last!
