Nose is very attractive, sweet, gentle though flavourful. Background smokiness in finish tops this whisky off perfectly. Nothing is overwhelming, all is balanced to provide an excellent dram. Big thumbs up. Region Description. \"Single Malt Scotch\" is generally associated with the higher end Scotch whiskeys, meaning its origin comes from one distillery and distilled in a pot still. The malt grain used is always barley in the case of a single malt Scotch. |
