| Description: | Oregon is not particularly known for its Cabernet Franc, but the Applegate Valley in southern Oregon is just across the border from California, and the weather is a bit more moderate. An educated mind would presume this is full of bell pepper and herbs, but this shows a surprising black cherry Pinot-ness that plays well with the lavender, violets, and hibiscus. Amazing aromas of cut-grass, pear, cigar, cinnamon, and spicy citrus. Leah is the only producer in Oregon Cab Franc that you need to know. |
