| Description: | 86 pts Wine Advocate March 2020 A blend of 55% Chardonnay, 44% Pinot Noir and 1% Pinot Meunier, the 2017 Kaapse Vonkel Brut opens to aromas of apple, pear and leesy cheese rind with a soft nutty tone of lemon brioche. Medium-bodied, the wine is bright, but I was hoping for a touch more acid on the palate. The finish is fresh and crisp and delivers a lively lemony conclusion. |
