Domaine Rapet Beaune Clos du Roi Premier Cru

Vintage: 2019
Description: Great red wine of Burgundy, located in the commune of Beaune. The grape variety is Pinot Noir. The vines were replanted after the great frost of winter 1985. Vinification in red: we are looking for fruity and rich wines with melted tannins as well ripe grapes know how to give. We bring the grapes in small boxes, in order to carry out a meticulous sorting at the winery, a carpet allows us to fill the vats respecting the grapes. The fermentation takes place for 15 days with punching down so that the richness and color of the skin are transmitted to the wine before pressing. Ageing takes place in barrels, 20% of which are in new barrels. Racking with a bellows eliminates the use of the pump. All these precautions make it possible to limit as much as possible the handling of grapes and wine in order to preserve all their richness. Located north of the town of Beaune, this climate of low slope, is characterized by a stony, sandy and very filtering soil. Always very early and ripe, these beautiful grapes give us a wine of incomparable fruitines, accompanied by very sweet tannins. It is fine, tender and dense at the same time, with very expressive red fruit aromas. This climate is a former property of the Dukes of Burgundy, annexed by King Louis XI after the death of Charles the Bold.
