Armando and Alvaro are 3rd generation Maestro Mezcaleros. They grew up making mezcal with their father, learning the techniques handed down from their grandfather. They double distill all their mezcal in 250 liter copper pot stills. Tasting Notes,. Nose: Spiced apple. Ginger rock candy. Palate: A kick-start spiciness (minty heat with short lasting serrano punch) from the Tepeztate. Fruit cocktail syrup sweetness. Greenspoints perceptive mention of sunflower seeds really comes out in the finish for me its like a chewing on smoked and seasoned Spitz and adding just a touch of cayenne pepper. |
