Description: | 96 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. From a vineyard in the Oakville Corridor, just below Dalla Valle, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum (950 cases) is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious aromas of licorice, smoked meats, camphor, graphite and oodles of crème de cassis and coffee beans. Full-bodied with sweet tannin and a dramatic, ostentatious personality, it should drink well for 15-20 years. 94 Points Vinous Media. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum is deep, powerful and expressive, yet also has plenty of near and medium-term appeal. Iron, smoke and a host of ferrous notes wrap around a core of dark fruit, with gorgeous aromatic overtones from the inclusion of 25% Cabernet Franc. Wild flowers, pomegranate and floral/savory notes add tons of nuance on the bright, punchy finish. This is a fabulous, super-distinctive wine from David Ramey |
