| Description: | As is traditional for Syrah in the Cote-Rotie region of France, this Syrah undergoes a co-fermentation with 3% Viognier. 50% of the grapes are whole-cluster with 10% new oak, preserving the natural earthy characteristics of the Syrah. This is a big wine, mostly because of its exuberance, but its flavors of cracked pepper, bitter chocolate, and plum are still evident. The earth flavors are dominated by sage, oolong tea, lavander and mint. |
