| Description: | "les Hauts Lieux". Headed by Jean-Paul Daumen, the marlstone and quartzite covered shallow safres soils are farmed biodynamically and co-fermented as a field blend, with the Les Hauts-Lieux having a larger proportion of Mourvèdre, in cooler higher elevation plots. Big red, black and blue fruits are structured, yet ripe, showing off a pretty violet aroma that is interwoven with garrigue, licorice and cracked pepper. Packed full of intense structure with grandiose elegance. Uniquely, there is no Syrah included in this blend. |
