| Description: | Nose: The smell of the new 25-year-old Pulteney is characterized by an enormously sweet maltiness. And yes, the second key also comes with a few wax notes. The sea surf and herbal notes (rosemary, thyme) remain present. Taste: Waxy, herbs, bourbon vanilla, sherry, juicy berries. Nice mint, pleasant tingling. The herbs and a light salt spray mist follow later. Also this Pulteney is characterized by a very nice clarity in the flavor presentation; there is nothing blurry. Finish: In the finish, this 25-year-old malt turns from the bourbon vanilla and sherry notes to the thyme, marjoram and sea beach flavors. Very full and pleasant. |
