Vincent Dauvissat Chablis

Description: | John Gilman 91 Points - " To the best of my recollection, the Chablis villages from Domaine Dauvissat was down about fifty percent in 2016. The wine is absolutely outstanding for its appellation offering up a pure and zesty bouquet of pear, lemon, chalky limestone minerality, citrus zest and a nice touch of oyster shell in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and absolutely rock solid at the core, with great cut and grip and a very long, complex and perfectly balanced finish. A beautiful wine. 2018-2040.". Wine Advocate Points - " "The 2016 Chablis Villages is very good, unfurling in the glass with aromas of honey, preserved citrus, oatmeal, oystershell and subtly smoky reduction. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, with tangy acids. It's not as pure and incisive as the greatest Dauvissat vintages, but it would be difficult to find a better Chablis AOC bottling in 2016. Drink: 2020-2033." |
