| Description: | Wine Advocate 92 - 94 Points - "The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Riotte opens in the glass with aromas of cherries, warm spices, wild berries, peonies and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with lively acids and melting tannins, it concludes with a long, saline finish.". Vinous 92 - 94 Points - "The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru was completely de-stemmed this year. This possesses wonderful mineralit and tension on the nose, quite flinty and stony, translating the terroir with style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip, a citrus bead of acidity, modest depth but with a very appealing, peppery finish thanks partly to the 30% whole bunch. Excellent.". Decanter 93 Points - "Bright raspberry fruit scented with salty mineral notes and a hint of smoke. The texture is fresh and lively, and although the parcel ripened early in 2020, the balance is spot on here. This 0.3ha parcel is in the centre of the village at the foot of the slope, opposite the Clos St-Denis. It lies directly under the combe and does not suffer too much from water stress." |
