(92+ points) Coming from a site that was originally planted in the 1850s (the vines for this release date back to the 1890s), the 2019 Red Wine Bedrock Vineyard Heritage offers a medium ruby/plum color as well as a beautifully complex nose of cherries, red plums, lavender, herbes de Provence, and pepper. Quite structured and tannic, it's medium-bodied, has a rounded, layered texture, good acidity, and outstanding length. It's a beautiful, complex, elegant wine that needs 2-3 years of bottle age and should have 10-12 years of prime drinking. |
