| Description: | This special cuvče of old vine Chenin blanc comes from a parcel of several-meter deep clay-limestone soil resting on tuffeau, the chalky rock that gives the best Vouvrays their peculiar characteristics. Time in bottle has given this wonderful white elegance and silkiness; the nose develops some ripe quince and pear notes as well as honey and flowers; gentle and refined on the palate where some light minerals make you forget of its "demi-sec" title, just a soft fruitiness on the finish. Perfect on its own or with ripe cheeses and mildly spicy Oriental food. |
