| Description: | Notes from importer Christian Troy: " Rebula/Ribolla Gialla arrived from Greece to Italy and sees its earliest documentation around the 12th century. It made its way East from Venice and found a perfect home in the flysch based soils of the Italian Collio and the Slovenian Goriska Brda. In 2008 Matej and Sandra purchased the Santei estate. By 2010, they had revived the property and were able to produce theri first wines. By 2014, they brought the farming to certified organic (Kon-Cert), and it was in 2014 that they planted just 0.4 hectares of their Muzovc vineyard to Rebula. Their best high altitude holding, in a perfect aspect on a bed of Eocene flysch rock. By 2021, they received Demeter biodynamic status." The amber/orange color is the result of skin contact. |
