| Description: | The grapes for this come from a vineyard that is 500 meters and the grapes are dried in the cellar until the end of December and then alcoholic fermentation in New French oak. This wine spends 4-5 years in oak but you do not get a lot of that oaky flavor just the right touch with balance with excellent acidity. Giorgio's son Andrea was the mind behind this wine and his very first vintage the 1998 was outstanding. Giorgio jokes that he made Moscato for 20 years before this and has never had quite as complex a wine. This 2005 has an incredible bouquet of lavender and floral aromas with lots of tropical fruit peach and quince with a note of honey and orange peel. Lovely balance with a smooth and creamy texture but bright and fresh on the finish leaving the tongue salivating for food. Finish 45+ Most Excellent. |
