| Description: | 90 points Connoisseurs Guide. A tad rounder and a little more direct in fruit than most of its mates, the Bedrock Vineyard bottling is a full and decidedly ripe, moderately rich offering that, for most of its length, comes across as being a Zinfandel that impresses as being less in need of age, yet it runs into just enough astringency in its slightly hot finish to suggest that a couple of years in the cellar is in order. If poured in the near term, it definitely needs paring with hearty fare, but, given the choice, we would wait for a bit before pulling its cork. (7/2021). |
