| Description: | 90-92 Jm / 91 De. 80% is from En Carougeot. A fine lively purple colour, with impressive energy of fruit, deep rich red cherry with some tannins in support and a lovely perfume at the finish. Entirely red fruit, a lovely example. Tasted: November 2021.--Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. The gentle extraction and ageing in 35% new casks delivers a result that is superbly aromatic, with bright aromas of pomegranate and currant showing a floral edge. The texture is silky and approachable, yet there are substantial tannins despite the light body and finesse of this wine. This is produced from 0.71ha spread over three lieux-dits that include Carougeot and a bit of Bel-Air that is classified as premier cru but is too small to bottle on its own.-Charles Curtis Mw, Decanter |
