Vidal-Fleury Cotes du Rhone Rose

Vidal-Fleury Cotes du Rhone Rose

Red Rhone Blend

Vintage: 2018
Description: Other text The elaboration of our wines is governed by four separate operations - the vineyard, the wine-making process, the ageing and the bottling. But the different stakes are not all covered by each operation. Vidal-Fleury considers that only the vineyard and the maturing process will truly craft the personality of the wine. The wine-making and conditioning must be carried out with excellence but generate less differentiation among the various terroirs. The superb origins of the grapes and the patience taken in maturing are what make the quality of Vidal-Fleury wines. Producer Founded in 1781, Vidal-Fleury is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Rhone Valley. Thomas Jefferson visited the estate in 1787. Today, Vidal-Fleury is renowned in the United States for its authentic yet forward-thinking style. The wines, coming from both the Northern and Southern regions of the Rhone Valley, are acclaimed by critics and consumers alike. Combining 230 years of tradition with a state-of-the-art winemaking facility designed to optimize oak aging, bottling, and bottle maturation, Vidal-Fleury crafts authentic, clean, and approachable Rhone wines, striving for distinctiveness and the highest quality. Among them are Cotes du Rhone red and white, Crozes-Hermitage, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and Cote-Rotie. Vidal-Fleurys winery is in the prestigious Northern Rhone appellation of Cote-Rotie and sits at the foot of Cote Blonde, one of the winerys finest vineyards and the one largely responsible for its reputation today.
