| Description: | I find Gruaud Larose always make a more savoury, traditional style of Bordeaux than many. Elegant rather than muscular, this displays leather and black fruit on the nose. The palate is still fairly tight, with fine-grained tannins framing harmonious flavours of blackcurrant, sweet spices and tobacco. 2007 was an earlier drinking vintage that has worked well for this wine. It makes for delicious drinking now but still has time on its side. Worth decanting for an hour before serving. Drinking Window 2016 - 2022. |
