| Description: | The Champagne Guide 2014-2015 (rated 94/100), Tyson Telzer. A lovely golden yellow colour (typical of Blanc de Noirs champagnes) with a lively effervescence. The powerful and warm nose is an explosion of red fruits, followed by spices and roasted notes. The palate is just as complex, with an attack dominated by the expression of the barrel with aromas of cocoa and pralines. Its vinous dimension and the warmth of the Pinot Noir are expressed in a subtle pairing of honey and candied fruit aromas (black currants, blackberries). The complex and woody Blanc de Noirs is exquisite with spicy Indian dishes. 100% Pinot Noir (black grape varietal) Matured and vinified in 205-litre Champagne oak barrels in the finest tradition (2011 harvest currently on sale). |
