The estate covers an area of over 50 hectares of vines that have been in the family for more than a century. Today, Château Palene is one of the oldest Bordeaux estates in the region and is managed by the family's 4th generation of winemakers, Christine Maubrac and Eric Guérin.Today's wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc sourced from vineyards that are 30-330 feet above sea level, with excellent east-to-west sun exposure and with soils composed of clay and limestone.
