| Description: | Winery Notes:. Chateau Buisson-Redon is the AOC Bordeaux part of Château Mayne-Vieil; with an enclave in AOC Fronsac on several sides. It has a total area of 15 hectares (37 acres). It is a clay-loam composed of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. The vines have an average age of 25 years. The vineyard has a density of 5000 vines per hectare (per 2.47 acres), is and grassed-covered. Leaves are partially removed on one side and the grapes are then green harvested. Bordeaux's traditional maceration lasts for at least 15 days in in temperature controlled vats, then in partially aged in oak barrels. The annual production of this wine ranges from 90,000 to 150,000 bottles. |
