| Description: | The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is extremely youthful in appearance-bright purple in hue. Concentrated and powerful on the nose, this is lavish and sumptuous, though whether it is a paragon of Pinot Noir is another matter, since it comes across more like a Syrah! The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins and very well-judged acidity. It is intense and powerful with a dash of white pepper. Primal with just a bit of heat on the finish, this is an impressive wine more than one to fall in love with. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. |
