Bruichladdich 200ml 3pk Wee Laddie Tasting Collect 1-classic Laddie, 1-islay Barley, 1-port Char Scottish Barley
Description: | Three 200ml bottles: Classic Laddie, Islay Barley (unpeated) and Port Charlotte (heavily peated). Bruichladdich ('brook-LADDIE') Distillery, from Islay ('EYE-la'), the famed island off of the West Coast of Scotland, is well known to most Scotch whisky fans around the world and particularly revered here at Hi-Time, where Bruichladdich, Rmy Cointreau and Rndc, over the years, have worked with us carefully (and often!) to hold regular tastings and events showcasing these amazing bottlings. Whether peated or unpeated, young or old, the Bruichladdich lineup has a baseline quality that is always present-- these are well-made whiskies done the 'old school' way. No chill filtration. No added coloring. They are still using much of the 'Harvey machinery' (the original equipment used when the distillery got their start in 1881, set up by the original owners, the Harvey brothers) to make the whiskies today. We've been fortunate to hold tastings with both Master Distillers Jim McEwan and Adam Hannett ; Jim was the Master Distiller from the distillery rebirth until his 'retirement' in 2015 and Adam, who started as a tour guide in 2004 and worked his way up to the top spot through dedication, passion and sweat equity [and probably more than a few drams along the way]), is currently at the helm. We look forward to more Bruichladdich events and whiskies in the future!. The Wee Laddie collection is perfect for that special someone (or you!) who either hasn't tried the Bruichladdich whiskies before or wants to enjoy 200ml reminders of the range of Bruichladdich and how amazing these drams are. Three 200ml bottles: Classic Laddie, Islay Barley (unpeated) and Port Charlotte (heavily peated). The Classic Laddie, also unpeated (full details above) is reknown for the fruity, floral and elegant profile. The 'signature style' for Bruichladdich. The Islay Barley bottling showcases honey, citrus and sea salt and, while this is unpeated whisky, there are background hints of peat and a touch of smoke. The Port Charlotte, of course, exudes heavy peat and smoky sweetness alongside broad swaths of fruit and mineral flavors. Depth and complexity aplenty here! A great introduction to or reminder of how good these Hebridean whiskies are! |
