It commemorates the 135th anniversary of the partnership of Mitchell & Son and their inception into the whisky industry. The Gold Spot 9 Year is matured for at least 9 years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, ex-sherry butts, ex-Bordeaux red wine casks, and ex-Port Pipes, resulting in a sublime and complex marriage that exudes a decadence worthy of such a profound bottling. Bottled at 51.4% ABV, this whiskey is one of four expressions in the Spot Whiskey range and boasts aromatic notes of sweet peaches and slivers of apricots in caramel, honey, and cinnamon. On the palate, it delivers a warm and inviting experience with swirls of pepper, island fruits, and delicate peach pastries drizzled in caramel.
