| Description: | Father-son team Philippe and Pierre Alliet are the proprietors of this small domaine in Cravant-les-Côteaux, home to gravelly 60 year-old Cabernet Franc vineyards. Such a pretty Cab Franc with blueberry, plum, violets, cream of tartar and pine forest. Slightly chewy with herbal tones, an energetic roundness and mouthwatering acidity. Some consider this to be the finest producer in all of Chinon, and I don't know that we have an argument. |
