| Description: | 90 pts James Halliday Aug 2021 Blazing purple-inky hue; it has all the regional flavours the variety can muster from cassis, ripe mulberries, mint chocolate to loads of rosemary (verging on too much unless a lamb roast is on the table). The full-bodied palate is firm, the tannins stern and while the oak imparts sweetness as much as tannins, this will benefit from cellaring. As always, great value. 90 pts Wine Enthusiast Oct 2022 Brambly red and blackberry aromas provide lovely lift to this muscular Cab. The fruit is underpinned by notes of mocha, spice, mint and pipe tobacco. The full figured palate is cinched with raspy tannins but there's some nice fresh, juicy fruit and spice that balances and provides varietal character. Drink now–2027. |
