Thibault Liger Belair Chambolle Musigny les Gruenchers 1er Cru (750ML)
From Chambolle-Musigny
Vintage: | 2017 |
---|---|
Description: | 90-94 Jm / 90-92 Vm. 40% whole bunch vinification. Dense purple, quite a strong reduction, this needs racking. A fine intensity of fruit, more depth perhaps than elegance, but it becomes more lifted further back on the palate. Will come into its own as the reduction fades. Tasted: November 2018-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy. The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny les Gruenchers 1er Cru is the final vintage before the contract ends [it will go to Domaine Sigault] and contains 40% whole clusters. There is some reduction on the nose that makes this difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and gentle grip. Quite saline in the mouth, leading to an elegant, refined finish with slightly darker red fruit than the entry. Very promising.-Neal Martin, Vinous Media |
