| Description: | 60% Merlot, 40% Corvina. The nose on this Rosso displays forward blue and black fruits, spices and exotic dark floral scents with an appetizing savory quality. The lightly off-dry palate carries on with the fruits in the lead: mixed dark fruits, black cherry. Broad hints of spice and charcuterie with a background note of cocoa lead to a rich, rounded, even finish. The tannins are smooth and supple and appropriate acidity keeps it from becoming cloying. This is a great wine for roasted meats and with game dishes. This is also excellent with mature and savory hard cheeses while being balanced enough to enjoy solo. This is a heart-warming wine perfect for lovers of rich, red wines. |
