Aged Demerara rum produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana Produced in accordance with the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication Distilled from molasses in the Versailles wooden vat still (rev) from the former Versailles estate Colored with caramel before barreling, as was tradition for Plantation Versailles marque Rev Aged minimum 12 years in ex-bourbon casks. Constructed in 1890 at Plantation Versailles, the Versailles still is primarily composed of greenheart wood, an evergreen almost exclusively found in Guyana which is treasured as one of the densest, most durable woods on the planet. After moving to the Enmore Estate, followed by the Uitvulgt Estate, the Versailles still eventually made its way to the Diamond Distillery where it has been producing its unique rum ever since.
