| Description: | One of the more accessable wines from elite winemaker Angelo Gaja is affordable and approachable when released. A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petite Verdot shows that Bordeaux grapes can excel in Tuscany. Dark fruits with lots of wet woodsy aromas, leather, mulberries, and blackberries with the fruit getting nowhere near too ripe. Driven more by the vineyards than the varieties, with a touch of tartness to the tannins. |
