| Description: | 95 JS / 90 Rp. The 1998 Right Bank are great now. Buy and drink!. This is a phenomenal bottle with licorice, violet and berries on nose. Full body with soft and velvety tannins and a velvety finish. This is perfect now. A fabulous wine. Shame this isn't made anymore. The small estate was absorbed by Pavie. Last vintage was 2001, if I remember correctly. 95 points. - James Suckling. Medium ruby. Idiosyncratic aromas of black raspberry, kirsch, roasted coffee and game; still quite reduced. Sweet, fat and rich, with a firm tannic spine giving it considerable power and thrust. This has excellent depth of flavor and strong finishing fruit. An impressive early showing. |
