| Description: | Organic. Rudolf Furst's 2021 Tradition Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) is a blend of younger vines from their Grand Cru or "gg" (Grosses Gewachs) vineyards and "1g" otherwise called (Erste Lage/Premier Cru) sites. Vines range in age from 7 to 49-years-old, and are located at the foot of Furst's iron-rich, red sandstone slopes. This Pinot Noir offers flavors of crisp black-cherry and plum flavors dotted by hints of by dried herb, smoke and roasted beets. Vinification: 5-35% whole cluster, 12-17 day ambient yeast fermentation in open-top wooden and concrete tanks. Aged for 14-16 months in used barrels. No fining, no filtration. |
