| Description: | Akarregi Txiki, Txakoli "Lasalde", Pays Basque, Spain 2018 100% Hondarribi Zuri Lime Zest & Crabapple, Sancerre-like Herbs, Oceanic & Slatey Taking its title from Akarregi Txiki's patriarch, the "Lasalde" cuvée features extended on-lees aging which imbues additional richness while allowing the wine to retain that txakolicious, razor-sharp personality we adore. The result is also more herbaceous, slightly less effervescent, and very distinctive with its exotic combination of sharp citrus, chalky minerality, light grassiness, and briny capsicum or caper. This is one to enjoy while staring out over the dunes and scrub vegetation at the beach – with or without a plate of mussels. Fantastic! Serving Suggestion: Lime-seasoned razor clam ceviche. Artichoke carpaccio w/ olive oil & sea salt. Goat cheeses. |
