Like the introduction of a great musical piece, Overture, the wine, presents elements of the exceptional work itself. Overture reflects the winemaker's artistry by showcasing the talent of blending five traditional Bordeaux grape varieties and capturing terroir characteristics of the same variety grown in different soils. Overture's additional blending aspect - that of marrying multiple vintages- yields a softer, rounder expression of our estate that may be enjoyed upon release. The blackberry and cassis characters of Cabernet Sauvignon melds seamlessly with the black cherry, red current, violet and deep plum of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Barrel aging weaves in the nuances of vanilla and toasty oak spices while enhancing the wine's elegant texture and sensual mouthfeel. By blending several vintages, we broaden the spectrum of nuances and enhance the soft, supple mid-palate, which are the hallmarks of Overture. A timeless expression of our estate vineyards, Overture is full bodied but approachable in its youth. Overture shows generous dark fruit aromas and flavors with a soft, supple mid-palate. |
