| Description: | 91 Ja. Interesting to taste next to the 1982, as this appellation famously over-performed the rest of the Médoc in 1983. A punchy opening of liqourice root, tobacco and crushed rose petals, with a sweeter black chocolate and even butterscotch on the finish as it begins to fade. There is a little more depth through the mid palate than the 1982 but less pristine character, and earthy notes dominate after 30 minutes in the glass.
