Brauneberger Gkaus Fritz Haag 03
Description: | Multiply, selected, noble-sweet, top quality wines, which have given the area its reputation. The finest fresh fruits, mineral, slatey flavour and low alcohol content identify these wines, which have been harvested by hand in multiple picking sweeps. These wines come about as a result of the positively ripening Botrytis fungus, which gives the wines such intensity and density. These are wines with great potential for laying down for 30-40 years. It often takes many years before these wines find perfect harmony. Beeren- and Trockenbeerenauslese in particular can only rarely be harvested in absolutely peak years. Many picking sweeps and the selection of mostly just single grapes are needed before these top growths reach the bottle. Region Description. (moh zel zar Roo ver)—This dramatically beautiful region of western Germany produces exceptional white wines from the Riesling grape. Among the lightest in Germany, these wines usually contain less than 10% alcohol and they are generally delicate, fresh, and bursting with flavor. With its flowery tastes and aromas, Mosel Riesling is a great wine to drink in the spring. Look for the words "Erzeugerabfüllung" or Gutsabfüllung," which indicate that the wine was estate bottled and not mass-produced. |
