| Description: | This wine surprised me with its big juicy red and black fruit. The grapes are sourced from two vineyards near the Petaluma Gap which receives a large amount of ocean influence due to a wind gap between the coastal mountain ranges. This helps preserve refreshing acidity in the wine and develop complex flavors as the grapes aren't harvested until October. The wine is balanced even with ripe black cherry, strawberry and slight toasty oak flavors. Anthill Farms Winery is a collaboration between three friends who after years of working in wine cellars decided to start out on their own with small production single vineyard wines. |
