| Description: | The Malvasia varietal is very low in tannins and is very sensitive to the use of available sulfur. Thus, it maintains its freshness in a bottle with only minimal sulfur needed. The result is a Malvasia from organic grapes which produces a very juicy, fruity wine with a complex structure balanced for easy drinking. Wine maker notes The Rojac family has been making traditional wine i n on the Slovenian coast since the 17th century. The chunk of Slovenian coast is in the southwest of the country. It's the Northern tip of the Istrian Peninsula. It boarders Karst and Friuli, other areas known for Refok wine. The land was settled by prehistoric tribes, and various small empires before being conquered by the Romans. |
